The SQL Report Writer/Analyst will be responsible for projects from design and development to implementation, with key focuses on SQL based report development and supporting documentation. In this position, you will be supporting strategic planning, analysis, design, and development while providing quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. You must have the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with various functional teams to achieve business results
Responsibilities
- Identify report data requirements by working with end users and create comprehensive technical design specifications
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to produce and support custom built reports and dashboards using SSRS, Crystal Reports, and other reporting tools
- Provide accurate estimates for development timelines
- Design and develop high quality, high performing data SQL queries and stored procedures
- Perform comprehensive developer level testing prior to release for additional internal and external testing
- Use SQL skills, including creation of user defined functions, complex stored procedures, Query optimization, and SQL scripts
- Identify any shortcomings or system errors and make recommendations for improvement
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 4 or more years of general reporting experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in relational database concepts, design, constraints, stored procedures, functions and optimization
- Expertise with SQL Server Databases and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Minimum 2 years experience with SQL Server 2017 or newer
- Experience with Crystal reports a plus
- Experience with other Business Intelligence tools (SiSense, Power BI, Etc) a plus
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
