The Data Analyst Specialist is a pivotal role that involves overseeing advanced data management and analysis tasks, leading complex data processing projects, and providing strategic insights to enhance our direct marketing campaigns. This position demands a higher level of expertise in data manipulation, project management, and team leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accurate data solutions. The ideal candidate will mentor less experienced team members and collaborate closely with senior management to drive data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities (Include Not Limited TO)
- Lead the development and implementation of data management and processing strategies to meet client needs and business objectives
- Oversee the coordination and execution of complex data analysis projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data outputs
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior data analysts/coordinators, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment
- Design, build, and support advanced data processing applications, leveraging scripting languages, SQL, and industry-standard ETL tools
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, presenting findings to senior management and stakeholders
- Develop and enforce data quality assurance protocols, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data across all projects
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define data requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications
- Manage data hygiene processes, including the use of software tools like RedPoint, and ensure compliance with USPS specifications for direct mail sorting
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data processing workflows, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation
- Travel as needed to attend client meetings and support high-priority data initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Data Management, a related discipline, or equivalent related experience; a Master’s degree is a plus
- 3 plus years of experience in data analysis, database manipulation, and project management
- Experience with modern Data Analysis tools such as python and its ecosystem are a big plus
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Extensive experience with the SQL Language, scripting languages, and ETL tools
- Proven track record of leading data processing projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to handle multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical audiences
- Experience with direct mail sorting software (Satori/Postal Soft) and a thorough understanding of USPS specifications
- A proactive approach to learning and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in data management and analysis
